Young entrepreneur contributes to food sustainability

A young entrepreneur from Okaruikombungu Village in the Otjombinde Constituency, Kahitee Keeja, is determined to keep the garden project she runs going despite the limited resources at her disposal.

Food sustainability and job creation are key reasons for this determination, she tells nbc News during a visit to her two-hectare garden project in Omaheke Region.

Green-fingered Kahitee Keeja says that the garden was started last year with onion and potato planting, but unfavourable weather patterns affected most of the potato produce, with onions fairing a bit better.
