UNP welcomes 34 new members, pledges to empower locals

The United Namibians Party (UNP) welcomed 34 new members at Mazwa Village in Kavango West’s Musese Constituency. 

The party’s Vice Chief Servant, Alfons Hausiku, says he did not expect the turnout, especially since some of the new members defected from other political parties. 

Karibib councillor supports small-scale farmers with livestock donation

Karibib Councillor Melania Ndjago emphasized the vital role small-scale farmers play in food production, income generation, and improving living standards. 

During a recent event, Ndjago oversaw the distribution of 80 Boer goats to eight communal farmers, valued at nearly two hundred thousand dollars. 

India extends aid to Namibia amid drought crisis

India's government is assisting Namibia with grain and other food items for the drought relief programme.

The outgoing High Commissioner of India, Mandarapu Subbarayudu, revealed this during a farewell courtesy call on President Nangolo Mbumba at State House.
