IG Shikongo leads crime awareness drive in Rundu

To combat crime and create public awareness in the Kavango East Region, the Police Inspector General, Joseph Shikongo, held a community meeting at Rundu.

Since last year to date, more than 700 house break-ins have been recorded, while 1,300 cases are classified as other offences. 

Iipumbu calls for fairness in Police promotions

Iipumbu emphasised that decisions must be guided by members' commitment, years of service, and professional conduct.

Teenage Boy Found Dead in Karibib

A teenage boy's body was discovered in Karibib this morning. 

According to Erongo Police regional commander Commissioner Nikolaus Kupembona, preliminary investigations suggest that the victim was stabbed. 

The victim is believed to be approximately 17 years old.

Six Family Members Die in Tragic House Fire in Usakos

The police have confirmed that six people died in a house fire at Usakos early this morning.

A grandmother, an adult woman, and four children lost their lives in the incident.

The police forensic team has arrived at the scene to investigate, as the cause of the fire remains unknown at this stage.
