Political leadership and traditional leaders in the ||Kharas Region are in support of the parliamentary motion to erect an ever-lighting shrine in honour of the legacy of the late Kaptein Hendrik Witbooi. 

Members of the Vaalgras community converged at Vaalgras over the weekend to remember their fallen heroes. 

The commemoration of the Orlam clan commenced with the hoisting of flags and a procession led by horses to the venue.
