Although Namibia and Angola currently face no major security threats, the United States Africa Command (AFRICOM) is working to ensure the two countries remain secure and prepared to respond to any potential future challenges.

Namibia and Botswana today launched a joint civil-military cooperation plan aimed at sensitising communities living along the common border about the importance of peaceful coexistence and good neighbourliness.

The launch took place in Kasane, Botswana.
