Venezuela's Supreme Court has ordered that Vice President Delcy Eloína Rodríguez Gómez assume the presidency of Venezuela in an acting capacity.

Venezuela has rejected and denounced military aggression perpetrated by the government of the United States of America against Venezuelan territory.

The government of Venezuela says the United States bombed areas of Caracas, the capital, and the states of Miranda, Aragua, and La Guaira.

Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro has been declared the winner of Sunday's presidential elections in Venezuela. 

Elvis Amoroso, the president of the Venezuelan electoral authority, said Maduro secured a third six-year term with 51.2% of the vote.
