Ongwediva Mayor Naemi Amuthenu has launched the Mayor's Community Backyard Gardening Project aimed at improving food security and promoting self-reliance among residents of the town.

The Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Land Reform, Ruthy Masaka, has called on the community of Aussenkehr to utilise government-subsidised programmes to boost food security and agricultural development.
 
She made the call during her familiarisation visit to the ||Kharas Region.

The office also assisted three local schools with modern technology, all to a combined value of N$200,000. 

The African Monarch Lodges continues to empower local residents with vocational skills in various trades at the Sijwa Project in Zambezi's Kongola Constituency.

The project repurposes recyclable waste from the African Monarch Lodges into salable crafts.

Over a hundred residents of Rehoboth Block E have benefited from the town council's ongoing title deed handover and debt write-off initiative.
