Commissioner Andreas Shilelo addressed his first mass parade as the new Oshana Regional Police Commander at the Oshana Police Headquarters following his transfer from the Zambezi Region.

Oshana Police Regional Commander Commissioner Andreas Shilelo has ordered urgent community policing meetings in Okaukamasheshe to combat a spike in crime there.

Okaukamasheshe is located in Oshana's Okatana Constituency.

The Namibian Police Force’s (NamPol) Zambezi Region Commander, Commissioner Andreas Shilelo, has raised concerns about the high number of commercially licensed firearms being returned to police stations for safekeeping shortly after their approval.

More than one hundred police officers from the Zambezi Region were conferred promotions from constable, sergeant, and warrant officer to sergeant class one and two, warrant officer class one and two, and inspector to the nearest rank.
