The annual mass vaccination campaign for cattle and pets in Tsumkwe is nearing its end.
So far over 14,000 animals have been vaccinated by the Directorate of Veterinary Services.

The Directorate of Veterinary Services remains committed to a zero-tolerance approach to protect the country's foot-and-mouth disease-free status.  

The Directorate of Veterinary Services has detected an outbreak of lumpy skin disease (LSD) in the Okakarara constituency of the Otjozondjupa Region.

So far, 39 cattle showed clinical signs of the disease, and two have died.
