A suspect was apprehended at Ariamsvlei this morning during an intelligence-led operation, found in possession of two bags containing 26 parcels of cannabis.

The cannabis weighed approximately 27,000 grams (27 kg), police report, with a value exceeding N$ 1.3 million.

The Namibian police have seized drugs and illicit goods totalling N$304,890 over the weekend.

On Friday in Klein Kuppe, a 38-year-old Angolan man was arrested after being found in possession of 2,452 tablets suspected to be ecstasy.

The estimated street value of the drugs is N$294,240.
