The Electoral Commission of Zambia has lifted the suspension of vote counting after concerns of security and threats to some poll agents. 

All was going on well until some candidates declared themselves winners. 

Conducting elections amid violence, unresolved disputes and uncertainty regarding compliance would have risked producing a contested outcome and further instability within the National Youth Council.

Legal analyst Yarukeekuro Ndorokaze has called for a review of Namibia's Electoral Act following the Supreme Court's Friday ruling that both the Electoral Commission of Namibia (ECN) and President Nangolo Mbumba acted lawfully in extending the election period.
