The government has extended the deadline for applications to acquire agricultural equipment, following high demand from farmers across the country.

Farmers who sold their cattle and applied for drought relief subsidies will receive their payments before the end of this financial year, Prime Minister Elijah Ngurare assured the National Assembly on Tuesday.

The Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries, Water, and Land Reform, Mac Albert Hengari, has emphasised that land reform in Namibia is not just about land redistribution, citing that effective land utilisation will be a key focus during his tenure.
