EBOLA OUTBREAK IN DRC AND UGANDA KILLS 80

The Democratic Republic of Congo and Uganda have reported a combined 240 cases of Ebola with 80 fatalities, including four healthcare workers.

The World Health Organisation, as well as the Africa Centre for Disease Control, confirmed the outbreak and interventions to curb the spread.

Cholera Outbreak Declared in Opuwo

The Ministry of Health and Social Services has declared a cholera outbreak in Opuwo in the Kunene Region.

This follows the confirmation of six localised cases that affected one household. 

Preliminary results of two more suspected cases came back negative.
