As the rehabilitation of the Omdel-Wlotzkasbaken pipeline is set to begin in early August, the Erongo Governor is calling for quality workmanship, warning that the nearly N$87 million  investment must be built to last.

Since its establishment, the Erongo Desalination Plant has been recognised as an enabler for the region's modern economy.

This year, the plant marks 15 years of existence. 

It is located about 30 kilometres from Swakopmund, near the Wlotzkasbaken settlement.
