Renovations of the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and dialysis centre at Rundu Intermediate Hospital have once again come to a standstill after the contractor failed to deliver.

The renovation of the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Dialysis Centre at the Intermediate Hospital Rundu is back on track.

This comes after the Prime Minister, Elijah Ngurare, toured the hospital in September and enquired why the renovations had stopped. 

Unit Manager at the Rundu Dialysis Centre, Augustinus Alpo, says they have seen an increase in local patients presenting symptoms of herbal intoxication.

Rundu Dialysis Centre is the only private centre offering dialysis treatment. They have been in operation for just over a year.
