Namibia and Singapore are looking to deepen their economic ties, with both countries set to explore new areas of cooperation while strengthening existing trade relations.

The ban on horticulture exports to South Africa has been lifted.

 Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries, Water, and Land Reform, Inge Zaamwani, has confirmed the resumption of exports as of Thursday, October 23; previously withdrawn trade permits have also been reinstated.

Namibia’s port development and other key infrastructure projects have attracted interest from the U.S.-based Corporate Council on Africa (CCA). 

Namibia and South Africa are going to scale up trade in the energy, agriculture, and horticulture sectors, among others.
