The Namibian Revolutionary Transport Union (NARETU) has marked its fifth anniversary with an outreach programme focused on workers' rights and economic empowerment.

Namib Mills and the Namibia Revolutionary Transport and Manufacturing Union (NARETU) have confirmed the details of a wage settlement for the 2025/2026 financial year, a day after the parties announced the end of the prolonged labour dispute that disrupted operations at one of the country's largest food producers.

The strike by nearly 1,000 workers at Namib Mills has ended after 59 days, following an agreement between the company and the Namibian Revolutionary Transport and Manufacturing Union (NARETU).
