Namibia has reaffirmed its commitment to the sovereignty and territorial integrity of all states while upholding the principle of non-interference in internal affairs.

Israel’s recognition of Somaliland as an independent state has drawn sharp reactions from the international community, with Somalia condemning the move as a “deliberate attack” on its sovereignty.

Chinese Ambassador to Namibia Zhao Weiping said that Chinese investments would never threaten Namibia's sovereignty or create dependency.

He said such concerns are misplaced, stating that China's cooperation with Namibia is based on mutual respect and equality.
