Despite several visits and promises by political party representatives over the years, residents of Baboon City on the outskirts of Windhoek say they are only pleading for one basic necessity, water.

The Namibia University of Science and Technology (NUST) and Angola's University of Namibe (UNINBE) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to strengthen academic cooperation between the two institutions.

Research conducted by the Institute for Public Policy Research (IPPR) indicates that Namibia is on track to spend approximately N$1.6 billion subsidising political parties represented in Parliament over a 10-year period.
