Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Land Reform Ruthy Masake has assured employees of the Zambezi Meat Corporation (ZamCo) abattoir in Katima Mulilo that outstanding salary payments will begin, following months of delayed payments and disruptions to operations.

Swapo Party MP John Likando has raised concerns regarding issues at the Katima Mulilo Abbatior since its handover to Zambezi Meat Corporation (ZAMCO) earlier this year.

The takeover of the Katima Mulilo abattoir by ZamCo from MeatCo is underway, with the two institutions conducting information sessions on operations ahead of the handover scheduled for 1 July.
