Home Affairs, Safety and Security Minister Lucia Iipumbu has linked the marriage-record verification exercise to decades-old gaps uncovered during the Ministry's digitisation process, which began in 2021.

The Ministry of Gender Equality and Child Welfare has suspended pension grants for an undisclosed number of beneficiaries after a verification exercise found discrepancies between their records and the National Population Register.
