President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah says the people of Namibia commiserate with those of Zambia on the loss of their former Vice President Guy Scott. 

Dr. Guy Scott may have been long gone following his demise last week and his subsequent burial last Monday, but his legacy lives on. 

The Zambian High Commission to Namibia has opened a book of condolences for its late former vice president, Guy Scott. 

As declared by incumbent President Hakainde Hichilema on Thursday, the Zambian flag is flying at half mast.

The environment is sombre.

Zambia's President Hakainde Hichilema has accorded that country's former Vice President Guy Scott, who died on Wednesday, a five-day period of national mourning.

The 82-year-old Zambian-born Guy Lindsay Scott was at some point the first and only white president of an independent African country.
