MGECW launches strategic plan for 2025 to 2030

The Ministry of Gender Equality and Child Welfare (MGECW) has launched its strategic plan for 2025 to 2030.

The strategic plan aims to promote equal opportunities for women and men, and improving child protection services. 

NHE set to construct over 90 houses in Otjozondjupa Region

The Namibia Housing Enterprise (NHE) is set to construct over 90 houses at Kalkfeld Settlement in the Otjozondjupa Region.

NHE Chief Executive Officer Gisbertus Mukulu said the construction of low-cost houses is part of the Informal Settlement Upgrading Project.

Erongo Region electrification rises to 78%

Public-private partnerships have the potential to increase the current rate of electrification in the Erongo Region from 78% to more than 80%.

This is according to the regional electricity distribution body, Erongo Red.
 
 Out of 75 000 households in Erongo, 16 700 remain unelectrified. 

John Savva’s lasting legacy remembered

President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah and Namibians from all walks of life united on Friday night to honour and reflect on the life of the late iconic businessman, John Savva at Walvis Bay.

Savva died last week Saturday.
