President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah has reiterated that agriculture remains the backbone of national development, with food security driving economic stability. 

The Office of the Kavango West Governor donated 100 fruit trees to residents of Nkurenkuru Constituency as part of efforts to keep Kavango West green and food self-sustained.

The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Land Reform has allocated over N$12 million towards the Horticulture Support and Value Chain Programme for the 2025/26 financial period.
