Africa's Best Performing Governor for 2024, Neville Andre, says winning the prestigious award has not ended the work to improve citizens' lives.

Andre says the Erongo leadership must continue to do more to resolve challenges such as the water crisis and food insecurity.

ECN trains potential registration officials at Otjozondjupa

The Otjozondjupa Regional Electoral Officer, Victoria Amutenya, says only 148 out of the 204 trainees will be appointed as registration officials in the Otjozondjupa Region. 

General voter registration is scheduled to start on June 3 and last until August 1.

Light to moderate rains recorded over the weekend brought relief from the heat wave in some parts of the country. 

Over the past week, temperatures have hovered between 30 and 40 degrees Celsius in places such as Keetmanshoop, which received some light showers on Friday and Saturday.
