Ministry of Health addresses implementation challenges and advances in service delivery

The Ministry of Health and Social Services (MoHSS) has finalised some of its directives set out under its National Management Development Forum (NMDF).

One of the directives that is a challenge is the implementation of the performance management system.

The Executive Director of the Ministry, Ben Nangombe, has undertaken some interventions to ensure the full implementation of this directive.

Health Ministry staff urged to redouble their efforts

Health and Social Services Minister Dr Kalumbi Shangula has urged his ministry staff to redouble their efforts in executing their shared mandate of providing quality health services and welfare to the citizens.

Opening his ministry's management staff workshop in Windhoek on Monday, Dr. Shangula stressed the need for improved service delivery.

While commending the achievements recorded in addressing TB and HIV/AIDS in the country, the minister feels more needs to be done.

Premier calls on Otjozondjupa leadership to implement Performance Management System

Prime Minister Saara Kuugogelwa-Amadhila is calling on the leadership of the Otjozondjupa Region to up their game in terms of performance and implement the Performance Management System in their respective offices.

The Prime Minister, accompanied by the top leadership of the region, such as Governor James Uerikua and Regional Chairperson Marlayn Mbakera, visited the Kalkfeld settlement, where only about 100 of its 4000 inhabitants are employed.
