A Khomas Governor's Cup will take centre stage in Windhoek on the 17th of March.

The tournament will be attended by representatives of all constituencies in the Khomas Region.

On Wednesday, a consultative meeting with representatives of the various constituencies in the Khomas region took place at the Office of the Khomas Regional Governor to chart the road for next weekend's Governor's Cup.

The meeting also confirmed the Committee that will run the tournament.

Namibia needs to strengthen its collective efforts in the area of literacy, and improved access to justice, especially for rural women, which continues to limit the effective realization of human rights for women in Namibia.

This was shared by /Khomas Governor, Laura Mcloed-Katjirua who called for unity to end gender-based violence as the country commemorates Human Rights and Women's Days.

"We have to unite to end this common enemy which is gender-based violence against women and girls. Together united, we can succeed in the fight against GBV."
