City Police ties loose ends on safety

She stressed that her team aims to convey a clear message on road safety, intending to prevent accidents and fatalities. 

NAMPOL vows to root out criminals

The Inspector-General of the Namibian Police says they will not rest until Namibia is rid of criminals who are disturbing peace in communities and among tourists.

Lieutenant General Joseph Shikongo made the announcement during the launch of the month-end operation.

The month-end patrol came out of the preparation meeting for the festive season operations.

The operation will be conducted in all corners of the city.

Lieutenant General Shikongo therefore called on the force to serve the communities they pledged to protect.

Police warn against providing sanctuary to criminals

The Inspector General of the Namibian Police cautioned the business community and the public at Katima Mulilo in the Zambezi Region to refrain from harbouring criminals and encouraging illegal activities.

Lieutenant General Joseph Shikongo made these remarks during a meeting with the community as part of his five-day visit aimed at launching the crime awareness campaign.

Lieutenant General Shikongo said the recurrence of criminal activities such as theft, robberies, house break-ins, and stock theft is a cause for concern.
