The public is warned not to buy or sell suspected stolen goods.

This comes after the Windhoek City Police arrested a syndicate that is buying stolen gadgets destined for a neighboring country known to the police.

Four foreign nationals were arrested after being found in possession of suspected stolen items.

The items include four iPhones, a desktop computer, and 26 laptops.

The City Police, through its intelligently led operations, followed a suspicious vehicle, leading to a house search, during which all electronics were confiscated.

"We really appeal to the prosecution to really make sure that these people are kept behind bars so that they are taken away from the community because they are terrorizing the community. And also just to warn the would-be suspects, we are hot on their heels, and we are also following a few others, and we will not rest until we make sure that Windhoek is cleaned," said Leevi Ileka, Deputy Chief at the City Police.

Those whose items were stolen are urged to go to the Wanaheda police station with proof to claim their laptops.

In a different incident, a security guard was shot during a cash-in-transit armed robbery at the Monte Christo complex in the Lafrenz Industrial area.

It is alleged that five suspects wearing blue overalls and reflective jackets got away with cash in a white Toyota Corolla Quest.

The public is requested to be on the lookout for the vehicle and provide information to the police that may lead to the arrest of the suspects
