The Namibia National Paralympic Committee hosted a para sport festival and talent identification event in Windhoek on Tuesday. 

On Tuesday a parasports event was held at the Okuryangava community hall in Windhoek, where the athletes took part in Archery, Weightlifting and Handball activities. 

Some of the participants said they were excited that initiatives like these were brought closer to them.

"On Tuesday, we are gathering here as one as paras, joining different events and I am very grateful for this to meet new, fellow people and to out more about an event like Basketball, powerlifting and so many stuff happening here" Hamukwaya, said.

Hamukwaya added that the activations will gradually be rolled out to other parts of the country as there as still many talented para-athletes out there who also need to be identified and guided
