Namibians need to understand that NUDO is not only for the OvaHerero community.
Its leader Dr. Utjiua Muinjangue said this at the first NUDO National Council Youth League meeting.
The meeting aims to discuss and provide solutions to challenges facing young people as well as matters pertaining to the development of the country.
Dr. Muinjangue in her address implored Namibians to join the party, adding, NUDO is a home for all.
She reminded members wishing to leave the party that every house has its own problems and that divorce is not a solution.
"This is the time to put aside our differences, we will have differences of course because I do not think like anyone else, anyone else does not think like anyone else, we do not do things the same and that is what we should appreciate the diversity in our opinions, but that should not pull us apart."
One of the new members, Lucas Ingashipola who traveled all the way from the Oshana Region explained that he had been looking for a party that is about bringing social justice and transparency, and NUDO, has proven to be that party.
"I always wanted to be at a place, where can I find social justice, where I can find trust and transparency, and where I find democracy."
NUDO's National Council Youth League Chairperson described democracy as a means of recognition that everyone has the right to choose the party they wish to affiliate with and participate actively in than just voting.
The meeting will also discuss matters pertaining to the development of the country.
