The Founder of the Never Walk Alone Project, Tim Ekandjo has donated more than 1000 pairs of shoes to children in Outjo.

The community of Outjo just witnessed the opening of the Legacy Centre in the town's informal settlement, and residents were over the moon when the Never Walk Alone Project gave shoes to 1 647 children.

The project aims to put shoes on the feet of children without a pair.

It is for that reason that the Kunene Region received the highest number of pairs of shoes since the inception of the project about two years ago.

These are leather shoes, meant to last for years if well taken care of.

Kunene will get more shoes with 531 pairs to be distributed in Kamanjab, Outjo will also get additional 604 pairs,  while Khorixas will receive 512.

Standard Bank Namibia has sponsored more than 567 000 pairs in the Kunene Region.

Kunene is now part of six regions that have so far benefited from Project Never Walk Alone. In total 7 821 children benefited from the Never Walk Alone Project.
