The 37 players called up by Head Coach Collin Benjamin include experienced campaigners as well as new faces in need of a chance to impress the Warriors gaffer.

In the goalkeeping department, first choice Loydt Kazapua will serve his AFCON qualifier suspension through yellow cards picked up in the previous matches. As a result he was dropped from the squad.

Edward Maova, who plays for the Pretoria Callies in the South African National First Division, is the only foreign-based shot-stopper in the team, while Kamaijanda Ndisiro, Jonas Mateus and Nelly Rooi will form part of the local goalkeepers called up.

In the Defence department, Charles Hambira is the obvious absentee as he continues to recover from a clavicle fracture he sustained during the Brave Warriors' match against Cameroon in Yaoundé.

Denzel Haoseb, despite nursing an injury, made it into the squad but he too will be accessed before the final decision.

Given Mutuezu of Mighty Gunners, Arend Aboubakir of Blue Waters, Gianluca Kahingunga of Okahandja United and Nalikewe Nalweendo of Citizens all form part of the new faces in the team and will hope to transfer their good form at club level to the national team.

Others looking for their first senior appearance include Tura Magic's Nicodemus Haikali, Paulus Amutenya from UNAM and Eliakim Jadsson, Erwin Tjiuja, Lawrence Doeseb and Devin Somseb all from Life Fighters.

Training is expected to start on the 16th of May, with the hope that the local league will be concluded by then.

During the COSAFA competition that starts on the 27th of May in South Africa, a few senior players are expected to be rested.

After COASFA however, the attention will immediately shift to the AFCON qualifiers against Burundi

The match against Burundi will be played on neutral ground at a date and venue yet to be confirmed as that country's stadiums are deemed not fit to host international matches - the same as Namibia.

Collin Benjamin says, despite injuries affecting a few regular players, they have also paved the way for new additions.
