Kavango OK Foods Supermarket gave away 20 cattle worth more than N$250,000 to its customers as part of its social responsibility.

The supermarket has been giving back to its customers almost every year through competitions with all types of gifts such as cars, food vouchers, and livestock.

This year during the Cattle Bonanza competition at least three customers walked away with cattle.

The first prize winner walked away with ten heads of cattle, the second place six cattle, and the third place four cattle.

Winners were over the moon.

"It feels good, I feel blessed, I feel humbled it's an amazing feeling, I just can't express it, it feels so good. This is the best strategy you guys have, it's the best initiative in business I am thankful that OK Foods has gone to this extent to give back to the people, give back to your customers," said the third-place winner Pancratea Kemba.

First-place winner Endure Kasera said, "I don't know how to express my excitement, these cattle have brought extra joy in my life, this will bring a big transformation in my life and that of my family I am very glad.'

Jose Machado the manager of the supermarket says for almost five years they have been giving away cattle because he feels it can improve their customer's lives.

"We use a standard approach like, give a car,  give a bicycle that's something that disappears with the time that after few years the car breaks, needs maintenance so we thought what can we give that really brings wealth to our clients, the once that buy from us, support us that's where the idea of the cattle came up."

Machado says the feedback from the clients justifies the offer they put in and livestock giveaway will increase next year.

He encouraged the winners not to sell their cattle but to breed them and make a living.
