The Swapo Party's Vice President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah has urged members to remain united and focused on strengthening the party if it is to withstand an increasingly competitive political climate.

She addressed a party rally at Walvis Bay.

Nandi-Ndaitwah reiterated that as it was in the past, Swapo will continue to serve all the people irrespective of who they are.

But this can only be achieved through unity of purpose.

She said party members have a mammoth task ahead.

"We have a big task before us and we should make sure that we are taking the 2024 Presidential and National Assembly elections as well as the 2025 Regional and Municipal elections, we have to work hard for us to gain back what we lost in 2009 and in 2022 elections."

Nandi-Ndaitwah says the party needs to conduct self-introspection, and must find solutions to the country's challenges faced.

Close to 300 people joined the party at the rally.
