The former Secretary-General of the African National Congress (ANC), Ace Magashule has been expelled from the Party.
This was confirmed by the party's National Disciplinary Committee (NDC), which met to deliberate the charges against Magashule on Monday.
In a media statement, the NDC said it found Magashule guilty of contravening the rules of the ANC constitution.
It said that after a guilty verdict by the Committee, he was allowed to show cause why he should not be expelled from the ANC and to do so within seven days.
However, the NDC had not received any representation in this regard, leading to the decision to expel Magashule as a final sanction.
