Swapo Party MPs in the National Council discussed various issues facing their constituencies with President Hage Geingob at State House.
The MPs courtesy call on Dr. Geingob was also to extend well wishes for recovery and continued good health.
In a statement, the Swapo MPs said the discussions further included the Constituency Development Fund Bill, and they also used the occasion to brief the President on the concerns affecting the people they represent.
The lawmakers say the Bill needs to be implemented as a means to address a number of challenges faced by the Constituencies.
Among the issues were the acceleration of drought relief and water supply, and the MPs implored that they needed to act quickly to address the situation.
The MPs also toured the Cabinet and Presidential Private Office Chambers to familiarise themselves.
The Swapo Party has 27 MPs elected to the National Council.
The visit to State House was the first since the regional councillors took office in 2020.
