83 College of the Arts (COTA) students in Windhoek graduated from various fields, such as television production, visual arts, new media design, radio production, sound technology, fashion design, as well as graphic design.

The guest speaker at the event, Dr. David Namwandi, who is the founder of the International University of Management (IUM), announced that two students from the college will be offered employment at the IUM campuses.

The gesture is aimed at giving back to the community and providing opportunities for graduates.

Dr. Namwandi also mentioned that IUM offers capital to graduates who want to start their own businesses.

He said it's all not glum out there, and one must remain focused and determined.

The studies of these graduates were impacted by the outbreak of COVID-19, and many never thought this day would come.

Among the graduates were 14 employees from the Namibian Broadcasting Corporation (nbc) who obtained qualifications in television and radio production through the partnership programme between the corporation and COTA.
