Swakopmund Senior Secondary School held a memorial service for the late 15-year-old Benjamin Sheelongo, who collapsed and died while in class on Tuesday.

Teachers and schoolmates remembered Benjamin Sheelongo as a brother, a friend, and someone who could brighten the dullest day with his humour.

His sunny disposition, when reminisced, left no dry eye in the Tamariskia hall.

Erongo Police Unit Commander for Community Affairs, Inspector Ileni Shapumba, dismissed reports that Benjamin's death was the result of a certain teacher's action.

Inspector Shapumba cautioned people to refrain from spreading rumours, especially during this time of mourning.

Benjamin will be buried on Sunday.
