The Alliance of Christian Churches in Namibia (ACCN) launched a biblical voters' guide to help voters make informed decisions in the upcoming elections, based on Christian values and teachings.

Speaking at the event, Bishop Lukas Katenda noted that the political landscape has become confusing, with voters uncertain about who to choose, as many leaders themselves appear confused.

He encouraged Christians to pray for guidance before voting, as it is an important act of faith in God.

The Chairperson for the ACCN, Dolly Nengushe, said the launch of the ''Biblical Namibia Voters Guide'' is a historic event for the church.

"With the upcoming elections just around the corner, we have got about 2 days to the election; things are about to be shifted and moved in this country. This guide is timely and essential for equipping Namibian voters with the knowledge they need to make informed, morally sound decisions at the polls. This voter guide is a result of a call from the church constituency that ACCN represents."

A Republican Party representative at the media briefing raised a concern about the low media turnout at recent events.

However, Nengushe responded that despite the short notice given, media houses such as nbc consistently covered their events.

nbc's Director General Stanley Similo expressed appreciation, stating that it is rewarding to see the corporation's work being acknowledged.

"It is a good feeling to know that at least people see what we are doing, and as I said as Director General earlier, we are entering this face of Namibia within this democracy, with the idea of saying that everything that is happening under the sun during this period, we will make sure that it is properly covered and relayed. That is why, three or four weeks ago, I had a session with all the political parties that have been granted permission to be part of this process. We did indicate all the things we will be doing, so it's quite a good thing to know that, yes, we have been valued in terms of what we have been doing."
