The Swapo Party will lead a march in Windhoek in solidarity with the people of Palestine tomorrow.
Swapo Secretary for Information and Mobilisation Hilma Nicanor made the announcement at a media briefing.
The Israel-Palestinian conflict has claimed thousands of lives and displaced more than a million people.
The march will start from Zoo Park at 08h00 to United Nations offices, where they will hand in a petition requesting a peaceful resolution.
"This ongoing violence between Israel and Palestine in the Gaza Strip has led to the loss of so many precious lives, and it is of great concern to the Swapo party. Against this background, the Swapo Party is organising a march in solidarity. All Swapo Party members, supporters, and sympathisers, and indeed all peace-loving Nambians, are cordially invited to come and join the march. Be cognizant that what is happening to the people of Palestine touches the hearts of all across the board."
