The Swapo Party leadership in the Zambezi Region has warned its members against corruption.

The caution was issued during the party's recruitment and fundraising rally at Isize in the Kabbe North Constituency by the Swapo Party National Leader for the Zambezi Region, John Likando.

"This is what our national leaders are fighting against; if we make the mistake of allowing corruption or praise someone who acts corrupt by misusing funds directed towards building clinics, roads, and vulnerable citizens, it makes our party look like it has no care for the people, so we must see to it that we follow the constitution.

Likando said the focus should be on the needs of the residents and the development of communities through various projects.

"The budget is available on all platforms; we must know how much the youth are getting from the budget, what projects are being considered, and areas in need of clinics. Let us not just scream Swapo in vain; we must follow the budget and understand how it works."

New members were recruited during the campaign drive and raised funds in reparation for next year's national elections.
