Executive Directors of offices, ministries, and agencies, as well as Chief Regional Officers, have convened at Swakopmund to discuss factors hampering service delivery.
Officially opening the two-day event, Secretary to the Cabinet Dr. George Simataa said the issue of lack of service delivery to citizens has become topical and needs to be addressed.
Dr. Simataa stressed that challenges such as poverty and unemployment should not have a place in the country if the group of administrators gathered at this first-ever event did the right thing.
Simataa highlighted the need to develop policy monitoring instruments, including the possibility of making corrections to courses of action if they are achieving optimal results.
The administrators were called upon to renew their commitment to deliver better services and bring their best ideas to the discussions.
