NFA President Robert Shimooshili has moved to dispel rumours suggesting that the Namibia Football Association (NFA) is planning to replace Brave Warriors coach Collin Benjamin.

Shimooshili firmly stated that Benjamin's position is secure, and the reports of the association seeking a new coach are entirely false.

Shimooshili acknowledged the existence of an audio clip featuring an unidentified European coach from Scotland, who claimed to have reached a pre-agreement with the NFA to replace Benjamin by January 2024.

However, Shimooshili emphasized that the NFA has no knowledge of this coach and confirmed that there are no plans to make any coaching changes.

The NFA president assured the nation that Benjamin's job is safe and that the association is committed to honouring the contract they have with him.

Benjamin will continue to receive the full support of the NFA as he leads the Brave Warriors in the upcoming African Cup of Nations, scheduled to take place in Ivory Coast next month.

Shimooshili expressed confidence in Benjamin's abilities and highlighted the association's unwavering support for him and the team.

As Namibia prepares for the continental showpiece, the NFA aims to provide Benjamin and the Brave Warriors with all the necessary resources and backing to achieve success.

The African Cup of Nations will commence on January 13th, 2024, and run until February 11th, 2024.

Collin Benjamin will remain at the helm, leading the Brave Warriors with the full support and backing of the NFA as they compete in the prestigious African Cup of Nations.
