The Namibian Police's Head of Public Relations, Deputy Commissioner Kauna Shikwambi, has once again appealed to the nation to assist the police in locating the suspects believed to have been involved in a fatal armed robbery in Windhoek in December last year.
Suspects Martin Shikongo, Steven Dumeni, and Ishitile Eddison Aluvilu, who stand accused of murder, robbery, and other charges, are on the run.
The three men allegedly entered a hotel establishment in Windhoek and approached the receptionist, pointing two guns at the hotel employee and forcing him to open the safe.
The hotel employee managed to press the panic button, prompting a response from the armed response security company.
Shots were later fired outside the hotel, which resulted in the death of the attending security officer.
One suspect, who the police say was the driver of the getaway vehicle, has been arrested, while the other three are still on the run.
Deputy Commissioner Shikwambi is requesting anyone with information regarding the suspects' whereabouts to contact the nearest police station.
