The senior medical officer of Keetmanshoop State Hospital, Dr. Lama Okitemungu, has encouraged the youth to tap into the knowledge and wisdom of the elders for the common good of the nation.
Dr. Okitemungu further emphasises that society cannot grow without the older generation.
He made the remarks on an occasion where close to forty senior citizens were treated to meals and the donation of food hampers.
Eveline Krohne, founder of Minky's True Care Foundation, made the occasion possible.
Krohne says she has been giving food hampers and Christmas meals to senior citizens for the past four years as a way of saying thank you for their service to the nation.
She receives assistance from both private citizens and business people to make this possible
