The Omusati Region paid its respects to the late President Hage Geingob through a memorial service that brought the community together in remembrance.
Led by Omusati Governor Erginus Endjala, the event was a tribute to a leader whose life was dedicated to the nation's progress and transformation. Governor Endjala reflected on Dr. Geingob's enduring legacy, emphasising the profound impact of his contributions on the path of development and change in Namibia.
Hailing Dr. Geingob as a transformative leader, Endjala says his life and legacy should remind Namibians about his unwavering dedication to the well-being and prosperity of Namibia.
"His vision and leadership have shaped our nation in profound ways, guiding us through challenges and inspiring us to strive for a better future. Today, as we mourn and pay tribute to President Hage G. Geingob's passing, let us also celebrate his life and the impact he had on us and on our nation as a whole."
The Leader of Ombalantu Traditional Authority, Oswin Mukulu, commended the late President for having had an active interest in traditional affairs countrywide.
Outapi Mayor Selma Asino and Father Andrea Petrus of the Roman Catholic Church also shared their messages.
