Swapo Party Kavango West Regional Coordinator David Hipulwa, in his tribute, described the late party President as a unifier.

"We therefore feel with the family, his Cabinet, and members of Parliament for losing a valuable person, a leader of his calibre, a unifier, a diplomat, and a teacher who is easy-going. Dr. Hage Geingob, who has been at the helm of the Swapo Party as the president, has been uniting the Namibian people, not only the Swapo Party. This is why you have seen that most Namibians, during his first term, came to vote for Dr. Hage G. Geingob. He is a people's person. This is why we call him our unifier, and he believed that inclusivity would bring peace, and he has included everybody in his activities, whether it be opposition parties or all tribal and ethnic groups in Namibia. His door was open to everyone. We mourn a legend, a hero, and a veteran."
