The Chairperson of the National Council and councillor of Mankupi Constituency, Lukas Muha, issued a stern warning against the use of divisive language. 

He urged community members to refrain from statements that promote tribalism, racism or regionalism.

A newborn baby boy survived after being abandoned in the bushes at Bunya village in the Kavango West Region on Tuesday. 

According to Kavango West Police spokesperson Chief Inspector Raimbert Muronga, the mother, who is unknown, delivered the baby in the bushes.

Heavy rains in the Kavango East and West have left some residents picking up the pieces over the weekend. 

Lambert Haingura, a resident of Hamweyi Village in the Kavango West Region, is one of those affected, as the weekend's rain was accompanied by lightning, which struck and killed seven of his cattle.
