The Central Volleyball Association (CVA), an affiliate of the Namibian Volleyball Association, has elected a new executive council to lead the affairs of the central region for the next two years.

The CVA's elective Annual General Meeting (AGM) took place on Saturday at the Namibia Sports Commission in Windhoek. Veronica Sampapi has succeeded Dorothy Nambahu as the Chairperson, ensuring the continued female leadership at the helm of the CVA for the next two years.

In an exclusive interview with NBC Sport, the newly elected Chairperson, Veronica Sampapi, shared her thoughts on the outcome of the AGM and the responsibilities that lie ahead.

The new leadership comprises individuals with extensive experience in volleyball, expressing their readiness to hit the ground running. Sampapi will be supported by Heskiel Edward as Vice Chairperson.

Jefta Nangombe continues as the Secretary General, Gregory Ukongo as the Treasurer, and Sakeus Shaningi as the Technical Director.

Tobias Mwatelulo, Vice President 2 of the Namibia Volleyball Federation, verified the election results. 

Outgoing Chairperson Dorothy Nambahu extended her best wishes to the new leadership, expressing hope that they will uphold the integrity of the sport of volleyball.
